A firm favourite with Tuppenny audiences, Chris Murphy is a mesmerising violinist, gifted songwriter and wonderfully engaging storyteller. Using looping technology to build songs in real time, he blends Irish folk, jazz, baroque and country influences into performances that range from cinematic soundscapes to foot-stomping folk sing-alongs.
Joining him is Barney Kenny, whose heartfelt songs draw on folk, blues and roots traditions. His music effortlessly moves between Delta-inspired stomp and the delicate beauty of English folk, always anchored by compelling songwriting.
Completing the line-up is Andrew Morse, visiting from Austin, Texas, the home of outlaw country and cosmic country-rock. His understated yet captivating songs provide the perfect counterpoint, rich in atmosphere, melody and quiet emotion.
