Whilst the band’s name is highly misleading—Pluto is not a short walk, nor even a moderate train journey—their latest single is brilliantly reassuring and positive. It advocates that change is good, that we have nothing to fear by leaving our comfort zones, and that heading into the unknown is good for the soul.
And these words of wisdom are spun out over the most delicate indie-folk deliveries, a simple, circular and sensual guitar, a crystalline voice, some deft electric six-string soloing and space…lots of lovely space.
