Dance-infused, post-punk-grunge-goth! Try finding that one in the record shop racks. But if you did, I bet little competition would threaten Liya Shapiro’s dominance of that section. A few old Siouxsie and the Banshee albums, perhaps, maybe some March Violet’s 12-inch singles!
But that isn’t to say that The Thing is in any way a plagiarism or plundering of those bands, but it is safe to say that if you like one, you will probably like the other. And so you should, it’s ace!
