Mentioned in Dispatches: Symphonic Reverie – An Orchestral Journey – The Missing Note

We talk about the idea of “letting the music speak for us,” but never was it truer than in the case of the man behind The Missing Note, who, in the most literal sense, uses his hands to make music in the absence of a voice. And the results, as we can hear on this latest release, are devastatingly beautiful.

Falling somewhere between classical and ambient worlds, post-rock and cinematic sound scores, there is a drifting beauty, grace, and grandeur here rarely found in any of those worlds. At one moment gently operatic, the next sweeping and gracefully classical, and then in turns floating, free, elegant, ethereal, understated, and occasionally ornate, this will be the most beautiful and moving collection of sounds you have heard in a long time.

I’ll even put money on it.
