The Lazy Revolution – Daydream Three (reviewed by Marcus Kittridge)

Initially this recording sounds like it may have come from turn of the century Seattle but it develops into a much more interesting record throughout its journey.

There are some recognizable Dinosaur Jr phrasings and periodic Nirvana like circular rhythmic mechanisms at play but they don’t detract significantly from an enjoyable and original post rock album.

Harvest and Autumn Afternoon are contemplative pieces that seeks a peace from simple undulating melodies. It has a do less, enjoy more feeling that also crops up in other places on the record.

Overall there is enugh variation in here to keep the listener engaged and sufficient diversity to escape pigeon-holing or genre defining prescriptions.
