3476-Premiere-Joe-Volk-SoliloquyAfter six albums fronting Crippled Black Phoenix, lyricist/singer Joe Volk began exploring new territories via solo work. His latest album Happenings and Killings is due for release in the new year and Soliloquy is  a taste of what’s to come.  Built of layers of voice and guitars, the track is an ambient, drifting and gentle piece, sonorous and dreamlike but representing only one aspect of an album that also contains more solid, realised pieces.

The video was created by award winning visual artist Craig Murray and manages to capture the same simple and elemental feeling that moves through the music perfectly.
